Welcome to Tai Chi Chuan Traditional Yang Style Long Form
Thames Valley Tai Chi Chuan Association was formed by Lewis Galton to promote the study and practice of the martial art of Tai Chi Chuan and also to introduce interested students to Zen meditation and I Ching studies. The Association is affiliated to the British Combat Association, with which Lewis is registered and insured as an instructor.
Lewis has many years experience of the martial arts but settled for Tai Chi in 1981 and knows from personal experience that there are great health benefits to be derived from correct and regular practice of the Tai Chi form. Chi Kung and Pushing Hands, which are the cornerstones of Tai Chi are also taught by him and his assistant instructor, Debbie Whiston.
Tai Chi can be learned by most reasonably fit people in their teens or their sixties and can and has been practised by people in their late nineties or even older. Subject to a free trial lesson and class space, people may join our Association at any time of year.
